My Favorite Resources for High School Chemistry

If you’re a high school student looking for extra resources for your Chemistry class, you’ve come to the right place.

Chemistry YouTube Playlist

The Organic Chemistry Tutor has a great YouTube Playlist for Chemistry. It has over 300 videos that overview most topics important for high school Chemistry courses.

Interactive Periodic Table

The Ptable interactive periodic table is an excellent resource. It offers visualizations of element properties, electron configurations, and trends like electronegativity and atomic radius. The website also allows you to explore compound creation through combining elements.

Heywood Academies Study Guide

Heywood Academies has a great selection of example problems and practise exams for British Columbia Chemistry 11 and 12. This is available for free on our google drive and is an excellent resource for final and unit test studying!

More Chemistry Youtube Resources

Khan Academy has multiple Chemistry playlists covering fundamental and more advanced Chemistry topics. Linked below is their playlist on Stoichiometry, a common starting point for high school Chemistry courses.

BC Chemistry 11 and 12 Resources

Mr. Wilkison is a BC Chemistry teacher who has excellent notes and example problems for both Chemistry 11 and 12. Ms. McLarty is another BC Chemistry teacher who has similar content for Chemistry 12.

There is a lot of content between these resources, so I would recommend narrowing in on a specific topic that you are struggling with and finding their resources for that!
