We tutor the math courses that come right before, and right alongside, calculus and the sciences. If you need a refresher on the fundamentals before jumping into a full course, we can help there too.

Linear algebra sessions for 1st and 2nd-year students cover vectors, matrices, span, basis and linear independence, linear transformations, and orthogonality.

What university math tutoring looks like.

In each 50-minute session our tutors identify and address the gaps in your knowledge.

Usually this means solving lots of practice problems together. Our tutors also like to bring extra practice problems, so you always have something to work on outside of your sessions.

Choose what works for you.

Online tutoring works well for students who want flexible scheduling, the ability to do sessions from home, and a recording and PDF of the notes from every session. If you have not tried online tutoring before, it is usually a good place to start.

In-person tutoring works well for students who prefer a face to face experience. We meet at the Camosun College Interurban library, the Camosun College Lansdowne library, or the University of Victoria library.

Prepaid hours never expire and can be used any time. Refundable, less a $35 administration fee.

All sessions run 50 minutes.
