How online tutoring works.

Sessions run through Zoom. Our tutors use tablets so they can write out problems by hand and share their screen in real time, which makes online tutoring feel close to working in person. At the end of every session, students get a PDF of the notes covered.

Online tutoring for high school students in BC.

We tutor BC high school students in math, physics, chemistry, and biology. Our tutors know the BC curriculum well and work with students from schools across the province, whether you're in Victoria, Vancouver, Kelowna, Prince George, or anywhere else in BC.

Online tutoring works particularly well for high school students who want a tutor outside their immediate area, who have busy schedules with after-school activities, or who prefer working from home.

Online tutoring for university and college students.

We also offer online tutoring for post-secondary students. Our tutors work with students at the University of Victoria (UVic) in math, calculus, physics, and engineering, at Camosun College in math, physics, and engineering, and at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in math, calculus, and physics.

Why online tutoring works as well as in person.

A lot of parents and students worry that online tutoring is less effective than in person. In our experience, it isn't, as long as the session is set up properly.

What matters is the tutor's ability to write out problems clearly and walk through them step by step. Our tutors use tablets and a digital whiteboard for this, which often gives students a clearer view of the work than they'd get sitting next to someone at a table.

The PDF notes after each session are an advantage online tutoring has over in person. Students can go back through exactly what was covered, in the order it was covered, whenever they want.

Online tutoring covers anywhere in British Columbia. In-person tutoring covers seven communities around Greater Victoria, so online is the way to connect with our tutors from everywhere else in the province.
