Hi, my name is Matt Heywood, the founder of Heywood Academies!

Heywood Academies is a tutoring company located in Victoria, BC that is dedicated to helping students with their math, science, and engineering courses. We have a team of educated and experienced science and engineering tutors in Victoria to help with high school, college, and university courses.

Tutoring

How Does Tutoring Work?

During the sessions we address any gaps in the student’s knowledge and setup students with the tools and resources to study effectively on their own. We encourage students to work together with our tutors to practice solving problems. At the end of each session, the student is given a copy of the notes that we went through.

Our online booking and automatic billing make it easy to book sessions and complete payments. We make it easy to get access to tutoring in Victoria and online tutoring.

Tutoring works best when done regularly. We recommend that students who feel behind in their courses get 2 hours per week of tutoring and students who just need a little help get 1 hour per week of tutoring.

In-Person Tutoring in Victoria, BC

We offer in-person tutoring in Victoria!

All of our tutors are fully equipped with a webcam, microphone, private office, and high-speed internet to ensure a good quality online session.

Our tutors also have a tablet, so they can share what they are writing on the screen. After the session, a PDF of the notes is sent to the students.
