"It was pleasant working with Matt. We worked on specific problems I was struggling with. Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend it to any student who needs help."

What an engineering tutoring session looks like.
Each 50-minute session is built around what the student actually needs.
We start by identifying the engineering concepts and problem-solving gaps holding them back, then work through practice problems, assignments, or test prep together. Every student leaves with the right study resources, so progress continues between sessions.
Choose what works for you.
For most students, online engineering tutoring is a great starting point. It is flexible, easy to schedule, and every session comes with a PDF of the notes we cover together. You can also record your session to review later.
If online is not the right fit, we offer in-person tutoring at the University of Victoria or Camosun College libraries, which works especially well for students who prefer a dedicated workspace.
Simple, transparent pricing.

Engineering builds on physics and calculus.
Engineering students are almost always enrolled in physics and calculus at the same time, and we tutor them alongside each other. See our physics tutoring and calculus tutoring pages, or browse the full list on our college and university tutoring page.
What students say.
"Been looking for a tutor and this just feels right. Not only tutors but resources that keep you going, too! As an engineering student, they are very helpful. Totally worth it!!"
"My daughter is in first year engineering and was struggling with matrix algebra. On her behalf, I contacted Heywood Academies. Matt got back to me right away and set my daughter up with an excellent, friendly tutor and her marks have improved significantly. Thanks to Heywood Academies, both my and my daughter’s stress levels have come down."
"Super easy to communicate and schedule with, and the tutoring really helped with the final push through Physics 11."
"I started tutoring with Matt because I was struggling with my first year Physics and Calculus courses at UVic. I had tried a couple of other tutors before Matt, but Matt was by far the most patient and intelligent. He ended up getting me through all of my Calculus levels and Matrix Algebra. I cannot recommend him enough."
